FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Calling today’s expected vote on cloture a “critical moment” in the Senate debate on comprehensive immigration reform, Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) President Rhett Dawson today urged the Senate to vote for cloture on the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act (S. 1348).

“A vote for cloture is a vote for innovation,” Dawson said.  “America’s leadership in the global innovation economy is at stake.  The Senate has come too far and worked too hard.  The highly skilled labor problem has reached a crisis level for the high tech industry and must be addressed now through this legislation.”
