Jeanette Tom

Director of Technology & Trade Policy

As Director of Technology & Trade Policy, Jeanette is responsible for developing and advocating ITI global policy positions on standards, the environment and energy issues. She has represented the industry before research institutions, Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), regulatory bodies and foreign delegations, focusing on building cooperative relationships and information sharing. Prior to joining ITI, Jeanette worked at the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) on international policy issues, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Southeast Asia, and EDS Corporation in the global government affairs office.

Jeanette has an M.A. degree in international affairs from American University in Washington, DC and holds a B.A. from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.  She is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and Japanese.
