Environment: The Information Technology Industry Council has signed an agreement with The Green Grid to focus on energy efficient data centers. The Green Grid provides tech industry-wide recommendations on best practices, metrics and technologies aimed at lowering power use at data centers around the world. ITI President Rhett Dawson said the agreement means his group's new Environmental Coalition will be working with The Green Grid to advocate for sustainability issues. Larry Vertal, director of The Green Grid said, the alliance will help his group as well. "By keeping us informed of important public policy initiatives that stand to impact the IT industry, this relationship will help better position The Green Grid to provide sound technical recommendations and solutions," Vertal said
