ITI Acquires Industry-Leading Environmental Team
New “ITI Environmental Coalition” Will Lead High Tech Industry on Environment and Sustainability Issues

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) President Rhett Dawson announced today that ITI has acquired the entire team that comprised the EIA’s Environmental Issues Council (EIC).  ITI will form the ITI Environmental Coalition, effective immediately.

The relocation was approved by the Executive Boards of ITI and EIC.  The move is widely viewed as a significant victory for both organizations and a momentous event for the high tech industry’s leadership on sustainability issues.

“ITI’s acquisition of the former EIC team and formation of the ITI Environmental Coalition demonstrates our commitment to industry leadership on environmental and sustainability issues at the state, federal and international level,” Dawson said.  “Rick Goss and his team have become the recognized and respected voice of the electronic and high tech industries on key environmental initiatives and policy.  The ITI Environmental Coalition represents a great synergy between ITI’s public policy expertise and the new team’s unparalleled reputation on environmental issues within the high tech industry.”

ITI’s Executive Committee has elected Rick Goss, head of the former Environmental Issues Council, as ITI’s Vice President of Environment and Sustainability.  Joining Goss as new ITI employees at the ITI Environmental Coalition will be:

  • Christopher Cleet, Director, Environmental Affairs
  • Colleen Pickford, Manager, Environmental Affairs
  • Ha Pham, Marketing Manager, Environmental Affairs
  • Valerie Rickman, Analyst, Environmental Affairs

“The ITI Environmental Coalition is an exciting opportunity to shape policy issues and drive standards in the environmental arena,” Goss said. “ITI is the ideal platform for all of us because of its reach and expertise in government relations, international trade and existing energy and environment capabilities.  ITI member companies are global leaders in sustainability, energy conservation and efficiency through innovation, and I consider this to be a strong strategic fit for both organizations.”
