“Internet of Cars” Congressional Hearing

On Wednesday, November 18, ITI President and CEO Dean Garfield testified before a joint hearing being held by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Subcommittee on Information Technology and Subcommittee on Transportation and Public Assets entitled: “Internet of Cars.” Garfield’s testimony focused on three areas related to the use of technology for autonomous and connected vehicles: (1) the economic and social benefits of autonomous and connected vehicles, (2) transportation and automotive security, and (3) recommendations for legislative priorities in the Internet of Things (IoT) and intelligent vehicle space.
