WASHINGTON – The IT Alliance for the Public Sector (ITAPS), a division of ITI, today announced that the group is enhancing their state level outreach and engagement and has hired Jordan Kroll and Liam Crawford as senior managers of its State, Local and Education Technology division. Senior Vice President for Public Sector Trey Hodgkins welcomed Kroll and Crawford, citing their knowledge and experience as valuable additions to the ITAPS team.

“Jordan and Liam bring fresh expertise and experience to our state and local level focus on issues that ITAPS has not been able to address,” Hodgkins said. “While they will be based in Washington, D.C., both Jordan and Liam will be making inroads in state capitals for technology solution providers serving the public sector around the country.”

Liam Crawford, who began his role at ITAPS this month, previously worked for the National Governors Association (NGA), serving as a liaison between the NGA and other local, city, and state based associations. He worked with governors’ offices to influence federal decisions affecting state budgets, and cultivated relationships with governor’s staff in order to collectively lobby for governors' bipartisan interest.

“Liam’s experience serving in the NGA working with governors and state decision makers across the country will be a valuable asset to ITAPS,” said Hodgkins. “Liam will lead our new efforts on state cybersecurity, continue our efforts on education technology, and initiate broader proactive advocacy efforts toward the state and local elected and stakeholder communities.”

Jordan Kroll, who served as a legislative analyst at Stateside Associates on issues including information technology (IT) procurement, consumer privacy, intellectual property, and cybersecurity, also started her new role at ITAPS this month.

“Fifty active state legislatures become a beehive of activity to monitor and respond to, and Jordan brings welcome experience in this area,” said Hodgkins. “Jordan will manage our legislative tracking activities, coordinate our state advocacy during the legislative sessions, lead our proactive efforts focused on IT acquisition reform and assist with business development.”

Hodgkins noted that the hires demonstrate ITAPS’ commitment to growing the quality of engagement for the public sector on the state and local levels.
