Information Technology Industry Council President and CEO Dean Garfield issued the following statement after the passage of the Energy Efficiency Improvement Act:

"ITI is pleased by today's overwhelming bipartisan support for the Energy Efficiency Improvement Act of 2014 (HR 2126), and particularly for Title III. Title III, based on a bill introduced last year by Reps. Anna Eshoo and Mike Rogers, builds on the existing efforts of public-private partnerships and energy innovation leadership to drive energy efficiencies in businesses, homes and the federal government. Information technologies and energy efficient data centers are vital to future government efficiency and effectiveness, as well as to our nation’s economic and environmental health. This bill deserves enactment because it will not only save federal resources but also taxpayer dollars.”
