Washington, D.C. – January 14, 2010 – Today the White House is hosting more than 50 of the nation’s top CEO’s at a forum on modernizing government. The forum will focus on discussing how technology can allow the Federal Government to cut costs while placing a higher priority on issues that serve the public directly.
“The technologies that our members create can significantly improve the way our government works,” said Dean Garfield, president and CEO of ITI. “The President's forum is a timely opportunity to build on a real public-private partnership initiative aimed at developing policies that preserve America's continued preeminence in the tech sector by driving innovation and sustainable job growth.”
This forum is part of a larger effort by the Administration to modernize the government and bring it into the 21st century. The American public can also lend their ideas about how the government can improve its use of technology to change how business is done in Washington by visiting www.whitehouse.gov.
