Green Grid Members

The Green Grid membership is a sure-fire way to drive more efficient use of resources in data centers and unite with information and communications technology (ICT) industry end-users, policymakers, technology providers, facility architects, and utility companies from around the world.

Through data collection and analysis, assessment of emerging technologies, and development of best practices for data center owner/operators, members play a pivotal role in advancing The Green Grid’s mission and creating innovative metrics and measurements for the entire ICT ecosystem.

As a member, you become an active voice in the industry’s response to ever-changing standards, technologies, and environments. In return, you can take advantage of The Green Grid’s many opportunities.

Membership Benefits

The Green Grid offers many opportunities to participate in its efforts to improve IT resource efficiency and sustainability including:

Development of metrics, best practices, and research deliverables:
Directly influence the development of industry-changing initiatives that improve operations, increase efficiency, and mitigate risk.

Networking with key industry stakeholders:
Build key business relationships with end-users, policymakers, technology providers, facility architects, and utilities who affect every part of the data center.

Brand Awareness and Recognition:
Demonstrate thought leadership and corporate social responsibility through technical projects and the association’s marketing efforts,

Exclusive Member-only Resources:
Gain access to the association’s extensive knowledge library including metrics, best practices, tools, and collaborative workspace.

Membership Levels

Contributor

Contributor Member companies provide the highest level of input into the association’s work and play a key leadership and governance role in the development, approval, and adoption of metrics, best practices, and research. They help to craft the message, represent the association throughout the industry, and guard the integrity and impartiality of The Green Grid. Contributor Members receive all of the benefits of General Memberships plus:

  • Participation in governing committees and select sub-groups of those committees
  • Speaking opportunities at industry conferences and events
  • Leadership opportunities in committees and work groups
  • Eligible to contribute curated content to Library and Tools resources
  • Eligible to review, comment, and vote on deliverables for adoption
  • Eligible to share blog posts (via RSS feed)
  • Eligible for invitation to participate in Global Harmonization Best Practice efforts

All employees at Contributor Members are eligible to participate in The Green Grid. Annual dues for large contributors ($100M+ gross annual revenues) are $25,000. Dues for small contributors (less than $100M gross annual revenues) are $10,000.

Apply for Contributor Membership

A 30% discount on Contributor Member dues is available to non-profit entities who produce a document that shows they have a government-filed status as a non-profit according to their country of registration. Companies with annual gross revenues less than $100M are eligible to join as Small Contributor members for $10,000 annually. As part of the application process, companies will need to submit the revenue verification form.

General

General Member companies are the backbone of the association’s development work. Their focus is dedicated to the creation and production of tools, white papers, calculators, and other deliverables. They receive all of the benefits of Individual Memberships plus:

  • Media opportunities
  • Use of The Green Grid logo (company)

All employees at General Member organizations are eligible to participate in The Green Grid. Annual dues for general members are $5,500.

A 30% discount on General Member dues is available to nonprofit entities who produce a document that shows they have a government filed status as a nonprofit according to their county of registration.

Associate

Associate Memberships are designed for government agencies and academic institutions. They receive all of the benefits of Individual Memberships plus:

  • Media opportunities
  • Use of The Green Grid logo (company)

All employees at Associate Member organizations are eligible to participate in The Green Grid. Annual dues for government agencies are $950. Dues for academic institutions are $250.

Apply for Associate Membership

To qualify for an Associate Membership at the $250 pricing tier, the organization must be a post-secondary academic institution that is licensed or accredited by a government or government-accredited body.

Individual

The Individual Membership provides an opportunity for consultants, analysts, and professionals who are passionate about IT resource efficiency to join and participate in The Green Grid activities. Benefits include:

  • Access to all Library and Tools resources without additional cost
  • Demonstrated thought leadership
  • Participation in the development of metrics, best practices, and research deliverables
  • Recognition of contributions to The Green Grid
  • Access to the member-only online collaborative workspace
  • Enhanced brand awareness and recognition
  • Participation in work groups
  • Use of The Green Grid logo (individual)
  • Participation in general meetings
  • Use of The Green Grid marketing materials
  • Attendance at member-only webcasts
  • Case study development and promotion

The Individual Membership is limited to one named participant. Annual dues are $400.

Employees of a member company cannot join as individuals as all employees of a member company are already eligible for member benefits. To see if your company is a member, review the members list.
