Sana Ali

Sana Ali is manager of policy for Privacy and Cybersecurity at ITI. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E).

Prior to this position, Sana was an active member of the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers' Non-Commercial User Constituency, where she represented the privacy interests of internet end users in various multi-stakeholder policy development processes. She also interned at the Media Policy Project in London where she worked on policy issues ranging from spectrum allocation, data protection and media reform in the UK.

Sana obtained a post-graduate degree with High Distinction at the London School of Economics in Media and Communications Governance and was a Dean’s List scholar at the University of Toronto where she completed her undergraduate degree in International Relations.

In Canada, Sana led chapters of two international development NGOs and worked with international students at the University of Toronto’s English Language Program. She has also been an active advocate for global internet access and digital literacy.
