WASHINGTON – Today, ITI, the global voice of the tech sector, applauded Congress for its passage of the 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act (IDEA) Act, which seeks to improve and expand the digital operations of U.S. government agencies. The bill, which passed the Senate on Dec. 11 and the House of Representatives on Nov. 29, now heads to President Trump’s desk for his signature.
“The passage of the 21st Century IDEA Act marks another step in the effort to modernize government information technology and improve the citizen experience in government services,” said Trey Hodgkins, Senior Vice President, Public Sector, ITI. “This measure will help agencies increase their efforts to digitize constituent-facing interactions and utilize 21st century innovations and deliver better services for the taxpayer – whether it’s helping navigate a federal website or process an application for benefits online. We applaud Congress for its swift passage of this commonsense bill and thank Sens. Portman and McCaskill and Reps. Khanna and Ratcliffe for their leadership on this effort.”
