WASHINGTON – ITI, the global voice of the tech sector, announced today that Ricky Le will join the organization next week to lead its outreach to congressional Democrats on key issues for the tech industry.
“Ricky provides a great deal of policy and congressional experience and insight that will bolster our advocacy efforts,” ITI president and CEO Dean Garfield said. “His expertise will be a valuable resource for our member companies as we continue to advance policies that encourage innovation and job creation across the country.”
“Having worked with ITI and its member companies for the past 13 years, I understand the complex policy issues the technology industry faces,” Le said. “I look forward to using my experience to further promote the great work the team at ITI is doing to showcase the innovative and economic contributions of the tech industry.”
With deep ties to California, Le joins ITI from Representative Eric Swalwell’s (D-Calif.) office, where he served as chief of staff. In this role, he was the principal legislative and political advisor, and engaged and strategized with leadership offices and members of Congress on critical policy issues. Prior to that, Le was deputy chief of staff and counsel for Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.).
Le also spent time as the Executive Director for the California Democratic Congressional Delegation. In this role, he advised California Democratic members of Congress on statewide policy and election law. He also led regular chiefs of staff meetings on legislative and political priorities.
Le holds a juris doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law and earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
