WASHINGTON – Today, ITI issued the following reaction to the statement from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)/G20 Inclusive Framework on BEPS on its work regarding tax challenges arising from the digitalization of the economy:

“We welcome the continued progress in the discussions at the OECD to address the challenges placed on the global tax system by increased digitization of the economy,” said Jason Oxman, ITI’s President and CEO. “The OECD’s affirmation of multilateral commitment to reach a consensus-based solution by the end of 2020 is important, and we look forward to closely reviewing the revisions agreed to this week to fully understand their implications. We continue to support the OECD process as the best way to resolve this important issue and urge all nations to pursue the ongoing negotiations in a spirit of international cooperation.”
