WASHINGTON – Today, ITI issued the following statement reacting to the United Kingdom’s (UK) publication of negotiating objectives for its upcoming free trade agreement negotiations with the United States:

“The U.S. and UK are the world’s leading exporters of digitally-delivered services, and are among each other’s most important markets for digitally-enabled services and e-commerce,” said ITI President and CEO Jason Oxman. “As the two governments move to initiate formal trade negotiations, they should use this opportunity to establish a new global benchmark for a modern, comprehensive trade agreement.”
