WASHINGTON – Today, global tech trade association ITI issued the following statement reacting to the U.S. Congress’s veto override and enactment of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021:

“Now, more than ever, it’s clear that a critical component of strong national security is a modern, resilient, and secure IT infrastructure,” said Gordon Bitko, Senior Vice President of Policy for Public Sector. “The FY21 NDAA will enable the U.S. Department of Defense to take much-needed steps to bolster the U.S. government and industrial base cybersecurity defenses, modernize its technology, and enhance U.S. leadership in innovation. As industrial partners of the Department of Defense, ITI and our members commend the U.S. House and Senate for their leadership in ensuring the Department’s personnel get the support and resources they need to meet its critical mission through this all-important measure.”
