WASHINGTON — The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), the global voice of the tech sector, is pleased to announce its newest member, Dropbox Inc. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in San Francisco, Calif., Dropbox allows over 400 million people around the world to work the way they want, on any device, wherever they go.
“Dropbox is a name that has become increasingly synonymous with the cloud computing technology revolution over the past several years,” said ITI President and CEO Dean Garfield. “We are excited to welcome Dropbox to our dynamic membership of leading innovation companies and look forward to collaborating with them as we advance the policy priorities of the technology sector.”
“We are joining ITI to help influence the trust, security, and privacy issues that matter most to our customers and users,” said Dropbox Head of Global Public Policy and Government Affairs Amber Cottle. “Our team looks forward to working with them and the broader technology community to develop policies and standards that promote innovation and growth.”
ITI advocates on behalf of its members for both global and U.S. domestic policies that advance the development and use of technology; open access to new and emerging markets; promote e-commerce expansion; drive sustainability and efficiency; and enhance the competitiveness of its member companies.
