WASHINGTON – The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) today announced its newest member, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organization. The addition of TCS brings ITI’s membership to 60 companies.
“We are excited to welcome TCS, widely recognized as a leader in the global marketplace and the first Indian headquartered company to join ITI. This is perfectly timed, given our deepening engagement in the India market and TCS’ significant and growing presence in the U.S. and other global markets. We look forward to collaborating with TCS to advance the interest of ITI members worldwide,” said ITI President and CEO Dean Garfield.
“TCS is committed to helping companies increase their value to customers by providing innovative solutions that help them to digitally reimagine their businesses in every corner of the globe,” said Surya Kant, TCS’ President of North America, U.K. and Europe. “Our success is driven by a skilled workforce, open and competitive markets, and environments that foster business transformation. Working with ITI, we look forward to jointly promoting efforts that advance the innovation, development, use, and social impact of technological solutions.”
ITI advocates on behalf of its members for global policies that advance industry leadership in technology and innovation; open access to new and emerging markets; promoting e-commerce expansion; driving sustainability and efficiency; protecting consumer choice; and enhancing the worldwide competitiveness of its member companies.
The organization has seen its ranks grow following an ITI Board vote this year to expand the organization’s defined membership criteria to include companies at the forefront of researching, developing and substantially integrating the use of ICT to enable innovative products and services.
