WASHINGTON – Today, global tech trade association ITI issued the following statement from its President and CEO Jason Oxman ahead of today’s vote in the U.S. House of Representatives on H.R. 2, The Invest in America Act:

“As COVID-19 has made clear, connectivity has never been more critical for American families. Federal investment in infrastructure is critical to bridging the digital divide and expanding broadband access. We are encouraged that there is bipartisan consensus in the U.S. Congress that broadband infrastructure must be a top priority as we look to the economic recovery and to bolstering resilience going forward. There is an important role for both government and the private sector to play in addressing these challenges, and the tech industry is committed to putting forth the best solutions possible to reach every community across the United States.”
