WASHINGTON – ITI president and CEO Dean Garfield released the following statement regarding the White House Summit on Advancing American Leadership in Quantum Information Science, which many ITI member companies participated in.

“We truly are living in an exciting time when technology is at the cusp of transforming and improving our lives for the better. No technological advancement speaks to that better than quantum computing, which I am hopeful can revolutionize how we detect cancer, speed up the production of autonomous vehicles, and improve how we forecast weather patterns. Today’s meeting at the White House was an important step to get industry, government, and academia in the same room so we can work collectively to accomplish our shared goals. The tech industry looks forward to working with government and academia to reach the goals outlined in the White House’s National Strategic Overview for Quantum Science report.”
